WARREN H. FEDER Partner

Warren H. Feder has more than 25 years of experience in counseling and directing corporate mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, leveraged buyouts, raising capital, and investing. He is responsible for directing projects and providing financial advisory services to the companies that make up the investment banking client base for Carl Marks Advisory Group LLC (CMAG). Services include M&A advisory, lender communications, valuation, and raising capital.
Prior to joining Carl Marks, Mr. Feder was a Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stepping Stone Capital and its predecessor, Gordon Brothers Capital LLC, a specialty finance company that made short-term private placement investments in more than 30 middle-market companies. From 1983 to 1994, he was Chief Executive Officer of a health and beauty aids manufacturer, growing the company and subsequently selling it. From 1979 to 1983, he practiced law with the firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, where he specialized in corporate mergers, acquisitions, and leveraged buyouts in the firm’s New York and London offices.
Mr. Feder served as a member of the Management Committee and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Turnaround Management Association. He also was a board member of the Commercial Finance Association and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Gateway Schools. Mr. Feder was the 2001 honoree for the Accountants, Bankers, and Finance Division of the American Jewish Committee.
Mr. Feder graduated magna cum laude from Williams College, received a JD from New York University School of Law and an MA in Philosophy from New York University: Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
