EVAN M. TOMASKOVIC

Evan M. Tomaskovic has more than 15 years of investment banking and financial restructuring experience. He is primarily responsible for the delivery of the firm’s financial advisory services, with a focus on restructurings and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Tomaskovic has executed a number of transactions for both public and privately held companies, advising a wide range of constituents, including management teams, Boards of Directors, investors, and creditor groups. His experience has involved a variety of industries, including healthcare, media, financial services, retail, real estate, transportation, and insurance.

Recent restructuring engagements include Gas City Convenience Stores (secured lender), Jones Stephens (secured lender), NextMedia (secured lender), Saint Vincent’s Medical Centers (debtor), Centurion Auto (debtor), Baldwin Technologies (debtor), and MacGregor Golf (debtor).

Select M&A and financing assignments include Logic Controls (cross border sale to Brazilian-based public company, Bematech), Gould Paper (cross border sale to Japanese acquirer), Morningside Nursing Homes (sale by majority shareholders to management), Moran Shipping (sale by minority shareholders to majority shareholders), and Florida Marine Transportation (capital raise).

Prior to joining Carl Marks Advisory Group LLC in 2005, Mr. Tomaskovic was a Senior Vice President at RBS Greenwich Capital, a Connecticut-based capital markets provider, where he focused on corporate finance and advisory solutions ranging from public issuances to complete balance sheet restructurings. Previously, he worked in Lehman Brothers’ Financial Institutions Group, most recently serving as Vice President, where he was responsible for executing the full suite of investment banking products for its clients, with primary focus on M&A.

Mr. Tomaskovic began his career at Meyercord Advisors Inc., a boutique turnaround advisory firm, where he assisted in the restructuring, purchase, and sale of several businesses.

Mr. Tomaskovic earned a BS in Finance from Rutgers University and an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He holds the following securities registrations: Series 7, 24, 63, 79 and 99 and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
