Charles Reardon Joins Carl Marks' Investment Banking Group - Opens New Virginia Office

June 4, 2009 (New York) – Charles C. Reardon has been named partner of Carl Marks Advisory Group LLC (CMAG), the corporate revitalization and investment banking firm headquartered in New York. Reardon will assist in growing the financial restructuring and healthy and distressed M&A practices for CMAG from a new office opening this month in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
Reardon brings extensive expertise in M&A, strategic planning, operational and financial restructuring and real estate development to this new position with Carl Marks. Before joining CMAG, he was a member of Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin’s globally recognized Financial Restructuring Group and led that firm’s Distressed Mergers and Acquisitions Practice in the mid-Atlantic region.
Previously named among the nation’s top debtor investment bankers by Bankruptcy Insider, Reardon has advised both public and private clients in a wide range of industries that include manufacturing, defense, hospitality, retail, communications and technology. He is a frequent speaker and featured panel participant on topics involving the financing and sale of both healthy and distressed businesses.
As a former senior executive, Reardon regularly served in interim CEO or COO roles for portfolio companies on behalf of two privately held investment entities active in M&A and real estate development. He has also held positions with several New York area law firms assisting clients with distressed businesses and workouts, recapitalizations, bankruptcy and general corporate matters. In addition, he has served as a board member for a number of public and privately held companies.
